Local Dining Spots Make Regional List

TOMS RIVER -- Local restaurants have to compete with some heavy hitters in New Jersey Monthly magazine’s annual "Readers’ Choice" contest in order to take honors in the regional southern division that includes eight counties. Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari, who serves as the county’s tourism spokesperson said, "We are proud of the local venues that made the list. I encourage fans to support their local favorite establishment in these contests, as winning these titles not only brings honors to their restaurant but also helps promote the entire tourism area to a statewide audience. Ocean County has many fine and fun dining spots which deserve to be on the list, but the customers who enjoy dining there need to let the publications know they do."
