Cool Stuff - NJ Ice Cream Contest Winners

COOL STUFF -- Sampling entrees during the New Jersey Ice Cream Festival held in Toms River are, from left, Sibyl Walczak, Manchester Township, contest coordinator, Dr. Bruce Tharp of Wayne, Pa., lead judge and international ice cream consultant and Molly Boyle, Flemington, the New Jersey State Dairy Princess. First place winners in the judged competition which compared all vanilla flavors were Hoffman's, Point Pleasant Beach/Spring Lake (local) and Gifford's of Skowhegan, ME (national). First place in the People's Choice flavored competition were Gifford's Chocolate Lover's Chocolate (national) and Zita's Homemade Ice Cream's Smores,New Providence (local).
