VETERANS INFORMATION SESSION MARCH 31

LACEY TOWNSHIP - Veterans and their family members are invited to an information session on veteran’s benefits, programs and services from 1 to 3 p.m., March 31 at the Lacey Elks Lodge, 900 Beach Boulevard in the Forked River section of the township.

"I want to extend my appreciation to the Lacey Township Veterans Commission for hosting this educational gathering," said Ocean County Freeholder Director Gerry P. Little, who serves as liaison to the Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau. "It is so very important to get accurate information to our veterans that will help them and their families access the programs and services that can assist them."

Freeholder Little is scheduled to join with U.S. Rep. Jon Runyan, who serves as a member of the Armed Services Commission, along with Lacey Township Deputy Mayor David Most and Valerie Madore, the federal Veterans Administration Employment Coordinator, in attending the session. Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau Director John Dorrity is expected to provide an overview of the services and programs available in Ocean County along with reviewing the veterans’ claims process.

"We want to reach out to as many veterans as possible to inform them of the benefits they are entitled to," said Deputy Mayor Most. "The Lacey Township Veterans Commission should be commended for their efforts in helping our veterans."
